The Scotland national netball team, known as the "Scottish Thistles", represent Scotland in international netball tests and competitions. The Thistles competed in every World Championship from 1963–2007, finishing sixth on three occasions (1971, 1975, 1983). The team are currently coached by Gail Parata. As of December 2013, Scotland are 12th in the INF World Rankings.[1]

Twenty players have been chosen in long squad for the 2014 Commonwealth Games. The final 12 players will be announced in May 2014.[2]
